Having an endoscopy can be very daunting but with some insight into what happens in our endoscopy unit we hope to put your mind at rest.

When you’re not familiar with medical words and you are told you need an investigation it can be quite frightening. What is a colonoscopy, gastroscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy? We try to prepare our patients by giving you information to read at home, a contact number to call if you have any questions and we spend time talking you through the procedure when you arrive for your test.
