Referring Via SystmOne - Electronic Referrals
- Retrieve Patient
- Under Clinical Tree right click on Referrals
- Then click New Electronic Referral
- When this box appears search for Eastwood Endoscopy
- Select this option and click ok
- Complete all of the relevant information in the following box
- Click Ok to send referral
Choose and Book
- On SystmOne select New Choose and Book referral
- In the options box select Referring clinician and priority of referral
- Click Ok
- Click on the read code box and type endo service
- Select referral to endoscopy service and then click on which procedure the patient requires
- Click OK
- Then click Book Appointment
- Click OK
- The Choose and Book portal will then open

Fill out the Initial referring Clinician box
- Under the speciality select Diagnostic Endoscopy
- Under Clinic Type choose procedure
- Then click on Search Primary Care ( If referring from outside Southend CCG click Search All)
- Click on Eastwood Endoscopy Telephone Assessment Service
- Click on Book Appointment
- Select First Available Appointment
- Inform the patient that Eastwood Endoscopy Centre will contact them directly once the referral has been triaged
- The patient does not need a print out as all information will be sent out by Eastwood Endoscopy Centre
- Return to SystmOne and add the Referral Letter (please note the letter has to be created in Communications and Letters to be able to attach it to the Choose and Book!)
Choose and Book Referral via Portal
- Open the portal
- Search by patient NHS Number
- Click search
- Then refer/advice
- Fill out the information required
- Click Search Primary Care ( If referring from outside Southend CCG click Search All)
- Click on Eastwood Endoscopy Telephone Assessment Service
- Click on Book Appointment
- Select First Available Appointment
- Inform the patient that Eastwood Endoscopy Centre will contact them directly once the referral has been triaged
- The patient does not need a print out as all information will be sent out by Eastwood Endoscopy Centre

- Complete referral form and email to SCCG.eastwoodendoscopy@nhs.net
